Uttarkashi Tunnel Accident: The battle of the workers trapped in the tunnel continues since the day of Diwali. The wait for the workers waiting to be thrown out is getting longer. The family members of the laborers are praying for the safety of their son. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced on behalf of the Uttarakhand government to provide all possible help to the family. On Sunday, Dhami had come to inspect the rescue operation in Silkyara along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. He met the families of the workers trapped in the tunnel and assured them of all possible help.

While talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is going to deploy an officer. Officers will work to liaise and coordinate with officials of other states. It will be easy for the family members of the workers to get updates also. He said that the state government has made arrangements for the movement, migration and necessary care of the family members. The family members coming to Uttarkashi to know the well being of their sons should not face any difficulty. The Chief Minister said that to maintain the morale of the workers trapped in the tunnel, arrangements are being made for counseling from a psychiatrist.

What assurance was given to the families of the workers trapped in the tunnel?

Officials have also been instructed to undergo counseling from a psychiatrist to maintain the morale of the family members. He said that the Uttarakhand government will bear the expenses of transportation, food, accommodation and mobile recharge of the workers’ families. The Chief Minister said, β€œIn times of disaster, everyone has to maintain the morale of the workers and their families.” Dhami said that the top priority of the central and state governments is to safely rescue the workers trapped in the tunnel. The rescue operation is being reviewed by the Prime Minister’s Office.
