Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal appointed bowling coaches of Pakistan

Former cricketers Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal have been appointed bowling coaches of the Pakistan men’s team. Gul has been appointed as the fast bowling coach, while Ajmal will be the coach of the team’s spinners.

Gul had earlier worked in the same role for Pakistan during the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan and then during the series against New Zealand at home. He has also coached Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League and the bowling coach of Afghanistan in the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2022.

Following the announcement, Gul expressed how excited he was to join hands with the Pakistan cricket team once again and how honored he was by the opportunity.

“I am delighted to join the Pakistan team as the bowling coach and feel honored to have been given the opportunity to contribute to Pakistan cricket by Mr Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee. Having previous experience of working with the men’s team Because of this, I will contribute.” The coaching expertise aimed at taking Pakistan’s bowling ability to new heights, Gul said in a statement issued by the PCB.

Ahead, Saeed Ajmal He also talked about what a big opportunity this appointment could prove to be for him and said that he is keen to guide and enhance Pakistan’s spinners.

“I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity provided by Mr. Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, to serve as the spin bowling coach. I am honored to be able to contribute to the development of spin bowling talent within the Pakistan national team. Feeling happy. I am confident that my career and coaching experience will help in enhancing the team’s spin bowling armoury,” Ajmal said.
