Mumbai murder mystery solved: Last Sunday (November 19), there was a sensation when a suitcase filled with a woman’s body was found at the metro construction site in Kurla area of ​​Mumbai. As soon as the information was received, the bomb squad was first called after seeing the suspicious bag. Later, when the suitcase was opened, the woman’s body was found inside. Mumbai Police Crime Branch has now solved the mystery of this murder case and suitcase mystery. The police have also arrested an accused in this case.

DCP Raj Tilak Roshan of Mumbai Police Crime Branch told that when the eyes of the entire country were fixed on the final match of the Cricket World Cup. This suitcase was recovered on the same day and different police teams were formed to solve its mystery.

The police team found out the identity of the accused with the help of CCTV cameras installed at the spot and intelligence. Based on the information, the police started searching for the accused. Police have caught 22-year-old accused Askar Manoj Barla, who was planning to flee to Odisha.

Woman used to do housekeeping work

During police interrogation, the accused told that he and his live-in partner Pratima Pawal Kispatta were together for the last two years and were living in Dharavi area for about a month. The woman used to work as housekeeping and she had left this job a few days ago. Accused Askar Manoj Barla had doubts about the character of the woman and felt that while she was doing housekeeping work, her new lover was also working there.

The accused was planning to take the suitcase of the dead body to Odisha.

The accused strangled his live-in partner to death and was trying to put her dead body in a suitcase and take it to Odisha. He had also reached Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus with her, but he was scared after seeing the police presence at the station. He kept the suitcase in the auto and left it at a metro construction site.

Both the accused and the deceased belong to the Christian community.

Police said that both the accused and the deceased woman belonged to the Christian community and had met each other in the church. Police have registered a case against the accused under sections 302, 201 of IPC and started investigation.
