Telangana Assembly Elections 2023: While addressing the election rally at Jubilee Hills seat in Telangana Assembly elections, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi fiercely targeted the Congress. Countering Congress’s allegations, Owaisi said that Narendra Modi has become Prime Minister because of Congress. If Congress had wanted, he would not have become Prime Minister twice. We have stopped the PM in Telangana, not allowed him to win. We are completely strong here.
Responding to the Congress allegations, the AIMIM President said that wherever we are in a strong position, why has the Congress fielded its candidates there? He said that this clearly means that BJP benefits from this and BJP wins the seat. Owaisi also said that if Congress had not fielded its candidates there, BJP would not have won.
Owaisi made serious allegations against Azharuddin
Owaisi also made many serious allegations against former cricketer and former MP Azharuddin, who contested on Congress ticket from Jubilee Hills. He said that Congress candidates are accused of bribery and embezzlement of money.
‘Congress did not give ticket to Azharuddin in 2014’
Azharuddin was MP from Moradabad Lok Sabha seat of UP from 2009 to 2014 but did nothing there. When the ticket was not given in 2014, BJP won from there. He alleged that when Azharuddin was not given the ticket in 2014, he was given the ticket on the parliamentary seat of Sawai Madhopur Tonk in Rajasthan, where he got 4 lakh votes and there was no looking back.
‘Hyderabad Cricket Association had filed four FIRs’
4 FIRs were lodged by Hyderabad Cricket Association. Referring to a film on Netflix, he said that the CBI director has made this allegation. If it was wrong then why was a defamation case not filed? Azharuddin is accused of match fixing.
‘Telangana voters will vote thoughtfully’
He also said that Congress fields candidates against us but Congress should not forget that this is Majlis constituency. Majlis candidates have always won from here. I appeal to the citizens of Telangana to vote wisely because Telangana needs development.
