Chasing the target of 241 runs, Australia won the match in 43 overs. Australia, captained by Pat Cummins, was excellent in all three departments including batting, bowling and fielding.
The pair of opener Travis Head and number five Marnus Labuschagne took Australia to victory. Both the batsmen made a partnership of 192 runs for the fourth wicket, in front of which all the Indian bowlers failed. Head scored a century and Labuschagne played a half-century. Both the batsmen led the innings intelligently and led the Kangaroo team to victory. However, Travis was head out 2 runs before winning the match.
Australia continues to dominate
Even though Australia lost 3 wickets in 6.6 overs, Australia continued to dominate the match. The first blow to the Kangaroo team came in the form of David Warner (07), who was dismissed by Shami. After this, Bumrah sent Mitchell Marsh (15) to the pavilion in the fifth over. Then Bumrah made Steve Smith (04) his victim in the seventh over.
Australia had lost 3 wickets at the score of 47 runs.
