Ahmedabad Airport: The final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup is to be played between India and Australia in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Sunday (19 November). Meanwhile, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport of Ahmedabad has issued an advisory on Saturday night. In this, passengers have been told that before the World Cup match, an air show of the Indian Air Force is going to be held in Ahmedabad, for which the airspace will be closed from 1:25 pm to 2:10 pm.
In a statement issued by the airport, passengers have been requested that if they are traveling from SVPI airport, then leave home after taking extra time for travel related formalities and security protocols. The statement said, ‘Please leave with extra time for travel procedures. Airspace will remain closed from 13:25 to 14:10 on 17 and 19 November. Your safety is our top priority. thanks for your cooperation.’

Security team kept on standby
It has been told by Ahmedabad Airport that there is going to be very heavy traffic due to the World Cup final. According to the airport spokesperson, for the convenience of the passengers at the airport, all security teams in the terminal and landside have been kept on standby for the increased number of passengers. There are 15 stands immediately available at the airport for night parking during the final match, of which six are available for business jet aircraft operations.
Akasa Air also issued advisory
In view of the closure of airspace of Ahmedabad Airport, Akasa Air has issued a separate passenger advisory for the passengers. In this, passengers have been told that there may be possible delays in flights coming and going from Gujarat. In the statement issued by the airline, it has been said that there is going to be more traffic at the airport due to the spectators coming to watch the match. Therefore, passengers are advised to reach the airport three hours before their flight.
