‘Heart broken, still hasn’t sunk and won’t sink for some time’

He also said that like every other Indian, he too is heartbroken and thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), his teammates, support staff and fans for their continued support.

“Our hearts are broken, it still hasn’t subsided and it won’t for some time. My first World Cup was an experience that taught me a lot and made me grateful for everything that came my way Thank you @BCCI, the team management, support staff, my teammates and you fans who supported us from start to finish. And congratulations to the entire Australian team on an amazing campaign,” Iyer wrote.
