Dimple Yadav further said that Samajwadi Party has a special relationship with this place. Kannauj has always been a source of socialist ideology. 2019 Lok Sabha election results
Let us tell you that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led NDA had won the maximum number of seats in UP. NDA had won 64 seats. Whereas 10 seats were won by BSP and 5 seats were won by SP. Akhilesh Yadav won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by contesting from Azamgarh seat. However, later, after the resignation of Akhilesh Yadav from this seat and the subsequent by-election held in 2022, BJP’s Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua won.
Talking about Kannauj seat, in 2019, Dimple Yadav had lost to the BJP candidate in a close contest. Dimple Yadav reached Parliament in 2022 by winning the by-election on Mainpuri seat. However, now it remains to be seen who SP will bet on from Kannauj seat this time.
