BHU-IIT Student Molestation Case: Even after 18 days have passed since the incident of molestation and misbehavior with a student at Varanasi’s Kashi Hindu University (BHU-IIT) institute on the night of 2 November, the police are still empty handed. In such a sensitive situation, the culprits have not been arrested yet.

Angered by the molestation incident, students staged a huge demonstration in the campus the next morning. Regarding this incident, not only the students had demanded immediate arrest of the culprits but also demanded separation of IIT-BHU institute. In this matter, the protesting students were assured of strict action from the university and police administration.
The accused is still away from police arrest even after 18 days
Abhishek Singh, a research student of Kashi Hindu University, said that it is very unfortunate that 18 days have passed since this incident and till now the culprits have not been arrested. The university administration as well as the police administration had assured that those accused would be caught as soon as possible and strict action would be taken. But till now the victim has not got justice.
Accusation of negligence on administration
Only from this attitude of the administration it can be understood how serious the administration is regarding the safety of any student. The incident of molestation of a student in the campus on 2nd November had shocked all the students and the non arrest of those accused till now raises many questions.
Police said – the incident will be revealed soon
On the other hand, from the security point of view, the checking system in the campus has been increased. Along with intensive checking of CCTV cameras, special monitoring is being kept on the external students coming to the faculty and departments after 10:00 pm. In the case of molestation of an IIT-Kashi Hindu University student, the police administration still says that the entire incident will be exposed by arresting the accused as soon as possible.
