In fact, Ghanshyam Shukla, Naib Tehsildar of Basti Sadar Tehsil, entered the house of his colleague, a female Naib Tehsildar, and tried to rape her and then, when that failed, to murder her.
This entire incident is said to have happened on the night of Diwali. Two days later, when the victim woman officer reached the police station to register a case, the police tried to suppress the case. As soon as the incident came to light in the media, the police had to register an FIR. Now the victim woman officer has to appeal for the arrest of the accused Naib Tehsildar.

The woman officer has released a video and folded hands with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and demanded that the accused be arrested immediately. Narrating the entire incident, the victim woman Naib Tehsildar told how her own fellow officer misbehaved and now she has to make rounds of top officers for justice. The victim woman officer has raised questions about the working style of the police, from writing the FIR to arresting the accused.
Police trying to trace the location
Let us tell you that Naib Tehsildar Ghanshyam Shukla and woman Naib Tehsildar used to work together in the same tehsil. Not only this, both their residences were also next to each other. According to sources, both of them used to talk often on WhatsApp. Police sources say that the mobile location of the accused officer is being traced and a third person was also involved in this incident, regarding whom the police is busy investigating.
Woman becomes PCS officer in 2020
It is noteworthy that the victim woman officer is a direct PCS officer of the year 2020. Whose first posting was in Balrampur district and after being transferred from there, she came to Basti district, where she was made Naib Tehsildar of Sadar Tehsil. The accused Naib Tehsildar Ghanshyam Shukla is a promoted PCS officer. Who was promoted in the year 2022. Earlier, Ghanshyam Shukla was working as a law officer in Gorakhpur district.
Regarding this entire matter, BJP Legislative Council member Devendra Pratap Singh has raised questions on the working style of the district administration regarding the arrest of the accused. He said that the accused Naib Tehsildar Ghanshyam Shukla should be arrested as soon as possible under any circumstances, otherwise he will also talk to the high command regarding this matter. MLC Devendra Singh raised a question mark on the working style of his own government and said that when one woman officer is not safe then what can be said about others. After this incident, other female officers of the district are also scared of fear. In such a situation, it is very important to arrest the accused Ghanshyam Shukla.
