‘Against my country…’ When Pakistan mentioned Kashmir in the United Nations, India rebuked it.

India is Pakistan: Pakistan once again raised its voice in the United Nations (UN) regarding Kashmir. India criticized this and said that it will not take more than a few seconds to reject it.

India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, Ambassador R., on Pakistan’s inappropriate reference to Kashmir during the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting. Madhusudan said, “It will not take me more than a few seconds to refute the previously inappropriate and habitual comments made by a permanent representative against my country and I will not honor him by responding here.”

India gave this reply in the open debate in the Security Council on the topic ‘Maintaining international peace and security: promoting lasting peace through common development’.

What did Pakistan say?
Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Munir Akram made reference to Kashmir in his remarks. Irrespective of the agenda and topic of discussion in the meetings, Pakistan has been continuously raising the issue of Jammu and Kashmir in various UN forums day in and day out, but fails to gain any attention.

What has India been saying?
India has clearly told the international community that the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir is its internal matter. It also advised Pakistan to accept the reality and stop all anti-India propaganda.

New Delhi has told Islamabad that it desires normal neighborly relations with Pakistan in an environment free from terror, hostility and violence. Let us tell you that every day terrorists from Pakistan try to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir, which the Indian security forces do not allow to succeed.
